ABOUT US

We are a friendly group of hillwalkers and climbers based around Oxford. We have around 80 members with ages ranging from 20s up to 70s. We have people climbing trad grades from Diff to the low Extremes, and sport grades from 3s up to 7s.

The club was formed in 1962, and our club hut in North Wales was acquired soon afterwards.

We are affiliated with the British Mountaineering Council, which provides, among other things, public liability insurance, a 10-20% discount in selected outdoor stores and courses to learn climbing and hillwalking skills.

The club is run by a committee of volunteers. Their job is to keep the club running smoothly and deal with any issues that arise.
