Multipitch climb on the Idwal Slabs, North Wales

WELCOME

Climbing in Oxford. Mountaineering in Oxford. Hillwalking in Oxford. Climbing clubs in Oxford. Mountaineering clubs in Oxford.

We are a group of mountaineers, climbers and hillwalkers based in the Oxford area. We welcome enthusiastic people of all abilities and walks of life.

Whether your interest lies in completing long rounds on the hills, classic mountaineering routes, long distance footpaths, road or mountain biking or roadside cragging, you're sure to meet some like-minded people amongst our membership - so why not get in contact and come and meet us.

Hopefully this site will explain what it's like to join the Oxford Mountaineering Club, but if you’d like to know a bit more about what it is like to join a mountaineering club, the British Mountaineering Council has a couple of articles: Why Join a Club? and Top five reasons to join a club.
